What can I say? It’s nearly Christmas . . .

Well, what is there to say? It’s been a pretty awful year and worse for some than others, but as they say hope is on the horizon and vaccine should be more widely available when we’re a couple of months into 2021.
I have plenty of Christmas reading both physical and books lined up for the free hours beside the roaring fire, (It’s actually gas and very rarely used so I don’t want it to roar, just imagining the logs if we reinstated the chimney . . .) anyway, fires aside I’d just like to wish one and all a very happy and peaceful Christmas and new year. I shall be at home with the folk I live with and we’re not going anywhere. We will zoom the inlaws on Christmas day and that will be enough. I just think I’ve been keeping out of folks’ way  since March so why change now, but everyone has their own views and reasons and each must come to a decision that fits right with them. As long as  we keep our vulnerable and elderly citizens safe, then we have done all we can.
I have ordered a turkey and made some chocolates and will make mince pies next week. The cake is done and I’ve even  pre prepared and frozen sprouts so I don’t have to do it on the day! That might be a step too far, but I feel I’m a little in front.  Mr H and I plan to do some walks over the holidays and I’m hoping, as always for some of the white stuff.
What are your plans for Christmas? Whatever and however you spend it, keep safe. x
