My thoughts
Wowsers! This psychological thriller was like no other. I love the concept of tech behaving badly and I thought main character, Jo Ferguson, was brilliantly written. I’m going to look at my Alexa in a different light from now on – haha.
This book kicked off with a bang at early doors, introducing characters who could all be behind the bizarre occurrences that Jo was experiencing, that included herself too. These so called occurrences were creepy, suffocating and mesmerising, all at the same time.
I really enjoyed the wintery Camden setting and after having spent a snowy week there in the past, it felt so real taking in all the descriptions during the story. It’s also my favourite part of London. I could picture Jo passing the train station, the pubs and the roads.
Cars’s character was inspired. Such a great and uplifting addition to the story.
If you love a fast psychological thriller which will have you guessing at everyone, that will keep you up at night to finish, that can tap into our everyday fears of our tech, this book is definitely for you. The end is mind blowing.
