Sheer Delight

What is a sheer delight you might ask. To me it is the number of sparrows tweeting and twittering in and on the hedge at the bottom of my garden. I heard them making merry a few weeks ago and immediately thought, ‘What a delight!’ I have now decided that my term for any group of sparrows must be a ‘delight’. I don’t know if there is a collective noun for sparrows but delight suits these little birds down to the ground as far as I’m concerned. The birds that visit our garden are one of the  things
I shall miss when we move house, all being well in a few weeks time. I hope we have wildlife  a-plenty in the new garden. There are trees, so I’m hopeful. On the hedgehog front I haven’t seen our resident family yet this year but there are ‘paths’ through the plants in one of our flower borders. I am going to check with our neighbour as they (the hedgehogs) shared our gardens last year. With the house move in flow I am also busy packing boxes and trying to relax at what is said to be a stressful time, and I can definitely say relaxing isn’t easy although I have promised myself a quietish day today and I might even manage to write something.. If you write, I hope you manage to sow some words today. If you enjoy watching the world go by, as I intend to do at some point today, I hope your time is blessed. And, one final note; I stopped sending out a newsletter about 12 months ago. It was too much to handle a monthly newsletter so I am thinking of probably sending out a newsletter 2 or 3 times a year. If you would be interested, please confirm your interest by filling out the contact form and I will get back to you.  I may not blog again  now until after the move, I’ll let you know how I get on.
