Review of ‘Freshman Hunt: A Nightmare Academy Novella’ by Anthony Avina ****

Freshman Hunt
Francesca Lucas had a mission to infiltrate the Nightmare Academy School for the Supernatural, learn the details of King Dalca’s plans to bring about the extinction of the human race, and stop him. She had established herself as a skilled vampire warrior and became a trusted member of the school. Brad Davis, her mentor, and other supernatural creatures, are gathering for war against ultimate evil. She longs for a life as a normal human, but realized that this was impossible and reconciles herself to her fate.

In the school auditorium, Dean Dante Santiago walked on the stage, and Francesca’s blood simmered. Fifty years ago, he killed a human she loved and she intends to destroy him. Santiago introduces his guest Samhain, a powerful demon, who is there to teach the students how to overcome the humans. In a confrontation, Samhain is about to kill Francesca when … well, you will have to read the ending for yourself.

In the review of Freshman Hunt: A Nightmare Academy novella is a second tale in this saga, with Francesca Lucas and the resistance seeking to prevent a war against the humans. Anthony Avina provides another tantalizing glimpse into forces unknown to mankind bent on destroying them. Yet not all supernatural creatures are evil, and they are prepared to die to protect humanity. Vampire lovers and addicts of the supernatural will enjoy this simple tale, regretting that Anthony Avina had not provided a more lengthy work.
