Stefan Vučak – award-winning author of contemporary political drama and science fiction novels has created an interesting novel here. The reader will ask, “What is the price of obsession?” Although the protagonist Ogdan Kostan is up to his neck in the world of the industrial-military complex, his ruthless desire to succeed is very relatable. I actually thought about legendary scientist Nikola Tesla in Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige while reading this. The moral imperative being to never be a slave to one’s obsessions. What I didn’t expect upon further reading is that Vučak’s F/X-26 more closely resembles a Tom Clancy novel where wisdom can slowly overcome technological arrogance. Readers who enjoy reading Clancy and thrillers with POVs will realize some obsessions pay off in the end.

He has written over fifty short stories, many with themes of horror fiction. He has won several writing awards including first place in Millersville University’s Lemuria magazine’s short story competition.
