The Kindle Unlimited KENP rate for March 2019 fell back to $0.0045 from $0.0047 in February with the KDP Select Global fund increasing to $24 million from $23.5 million in February.
In the UK market, the KENP rate for February 2019 also fell to £0.0032 from £0.0034 in February.
The rate is following the usual seasonal trend for Kindle Unlimited and this year’s March fund of $24 million was 14% up on the $21 million paid out a year ago in March 2018. That took the total paid out to authors by KU since it launched through the $900 million mark to a grand total of $912.2 million.
The total paid out for the first three months of 2019 is $72.2 million, which is just over 16.5% up on the total of $61.9 million during the first quarter of 2018.
For March 2019, using the calculation of dividing the total KDP Select fund ($24 million) by the US KENP rate ($0.0045) to get an idea of the total number of KENPs read during the month results in 5.3 billion KENPs, a rise from 5 billion KENPs in February.
