What was your first job? Did you like or
dislike it? Why?
My first job was a cashier position at a produce market. I was
grateful to have a paid position, but I found it extremely repetitive.

Do you have a pet peeve? If so what is it?
Like
most authors, I don’t enjoy being disturbed while reading or writing.
3.)
Do you spend more time researching or writing?
It really depends on the book. When I write thrillers, I’m able to draw on my educational
background. For Back in Time with Jelly Beans, and Forward in Time with Jelly Beans,
I spent a lot more time researching historical data on the 1920s and 1930s to ensure
the details in my stories were as accurate as possible.

Tell me about your book Back in Time with
Jelly Beans and where you got your inspiration for it?
The idea for the story
came to me during one of our weekly chats in the Wild Rose Press chatroom. Rhonda
Penders announced the new Jellybean and Spring Things line coming this spring,
then she mentioned how she enjoyed time-travel romance. The ideas for the
characters and using jellybeans as a catalyst for time-travel came to me in the
moment and I ran with it.

How much of your book is realistic?
I created a
fictional small town whose economy depends upon a jellybean factory, which I
think is realistic as many small towns thrive from the jobs provided by local
factories.
6.)
What are your ambitions for your writing
career?
I hope to be able to make a living as a full-time author and have my
books on store shelves someday.
7.)
Who is your role model? Why?
I admire so many different
authors and not only for their craft but also their will to succeed. Authors
are a strong bunch of individuals whose persistence led to their success. I can’t
think of many other careers where one must face so much rejection on the path
to landing a book deal.
8.)
Share one fact about yourself that would
surprise people.
I have not one but four dogs. We are incapable of fostering
dogs in our home anymore because we end up keeping them all.
