IT’S GUEST AUTHOR SATURDAY!! Please welcome fabulous saga author Sheila Riley…

The Mersey Mothers is the 3rd of the Reckoner’s Row trilogy that tells the story of the inhabitants of a postwar Mersey dockside street who band together when times are hard, depend upon each other, share hopes, dreams, and the sorrows that life throws at them.

They are preparing for the street party celebrations for the new Queen Elizabeth 2 Coronation as well as Evie Kilgaren’s wedding to Danny Harris. But one mother isn’t sure she will be invited to attend the wedding ceremony, given the consequences of the past.
Ada Harris, the woman who reared Danny, has inherited a deadly secret she does not want to contemplate. Is Rene Kilgaren’s killer still walking free? Was the wrong man blamed? And is the real killer closer to home?
While Evie is trying to save Danny’s haulage business from going under, she wonders if there will ever be a wedding – and who is trying to take Danny down?
It’s all go in Reckoner’s Row.
I had mixed feelings about writing The Mersey Mothers. I wanted to get to the truth of the murder of Evie’s mother, six years earlier, but I was sad to say goodbye to the characters who seemed as real to me as people I know. However, when writing The End, I realised that there were still questions to be answered and plot lines to peruse, so who knows, maybe one day we will revisit Reckoner’s Row and the lively, colourful bunch of inhabitants, to see what they are up to.
The Mersey Mothers is out on the 19th April and is available to pre-order now.
