Full Gospel Conference

I’ve just returned from the annual conference of the Full Gospel Businessmen held in Nottingham, and in a few days will leave for Newry in Ireland for their conference.

We have so much in common with those attending each conference – our faith in Christ, and being involved in business. Dentistry is a business. Writing books is a business. But we don’t talk business – we talk about life and about Jesus.

Both these conferences are like ‘family’, where we meet with people who have a sense of belonging together. We are all part of God’s family, and feel very much at home with our brothers and sisters.

The FGB conference in Nottingham was the best I can remember, with such free joyful praise and worship. Singing (of course), but also shouts of joy, dancing, and blasts from a shofar. The sense of God’s presence among us was almost tangible at times. Our main speaker, Robert Maasbach, prayed and prophesied over around 30 people the first night, and the second night there were testimonies of healing. Little children were well behaved, and teens and twenties darted in and out of the congregation laying hands on those requesting prayer on the final day.

And people bought books!!!!

I wonder what Ireland has in store. More of the same? – I could get used to that!
